New Patent Issued for Charcoal Companion Brand of Grilling Accessories

BERKELEY, CA

The Companion Group, a leading design and manufacturing firm of tools and accessories for outdoor cooking, announced that the US Patent and Trademark Office has issued a new patent for the Charcoal Companion brand of grilling accessories.

This patent, #D700,438, is for the Charcoal Companion’s innovative new design utilized in their range of Spiral Grill Brushes, created by designers Cory Borovicka and Kwame Phillips-Solomon. The design uses twisted wire to secure the brush’s bristles and reduce bristle loss. Traditional brushes often shed bristles during use, sticking to the grill grate and potentially contaminating food. The Spiral Grill Brush’s inverted triangle brush head also allows flexibility in cleaning grill grates, reaching in between them for a more thorough clean.

The Spiral Grill Brushes come in a two different handle lengths and a range of bright colors. It is constructed of a comfort-grip plastic handle, with a brushed stainless steel wire head and stainless steel bristles.

The Spiral Grill Brushes are available from specialty kitchen retailers throughout the US and online. The Companion Group now holds more than 60 US patents and continues its commitment to innovative designs for an ever-changing marketplace.
