Pizza-lovers can order the pizza oven online at surlatable.com starting August 8, 2013, or pick one up in stores nationwide beginning August 30, 2013. With a price of $299.95, the Pizzeria Pronto is an affordable and fast way for home cooks to get the same great results previously only achievable with a wood-burning pizza oven. Boasting several patent-pending technologies and weighing only twenty-six pounds, the oven uses a special adapter to cook pizzas for two hours on a one-pound propane tank; the result is a beautifully cooked pizza, with a perfectly crisp and evenly browned crust, every time.

“The Pizzeria Pronto will revolutionize the future of home cooked pizzas,” says Chuck Adams, The Companion Group CEO. “It pre-heats to an ambient temperature of 700 degrees Fahrenheit in only ten minutes and cooks a thin crust pizza in only five minutes. The oven features dual cordierite pizza stones with a hollow core of air in between, which acts as a diffuser and eliminates the risk of hot spots. A reflective heat shield built into the top of the oven redirects heat down onto the top of the pizza so that the toppings cook at the same rate as the crust, while a moisture vent at the top allows moisture to escape from the oven for crisper, never soggy, pizza. The light-weight, portable aspects of the oven make it ideal for tailgating, camping, and picnics.

The pizza oven will be available at Sur La Table store locations nationwide, as well as on surlatable.com. In addition, the retailer will host free demonstrations of the new oven at select stores. Finally, Sur La Table locations that feature culinary programs will be offering a more extensive course on using the Pizzeria Pronto® oven for only five dollars.
