Our Stuffed Burger Party

Definitely one of the best things about working for a company that creates tools and accessories for serious grilling is getting to test out your own products. This usually leads to office-wide emails with subject lines like “Meatballs in the kitchen!” and “Pizza cones ready at 2:00 if you want ’em!” At The Companion Group, we recently combined testing our Charcoal Companion Stuff-A-Burger Press, a few recipes from our Stuffed Burger Cookbook, and a pre-Thanksgiving celebration into one stuffed burger party.

Sarah and Doug Stuffing Burgers

Wendy and Sarah (seen here with Doug hamming it up) organized the whole shindig for the Wednesday before we all took off for Turkey Day. On the menu were “Where the Buffalo Chicken Roam” burgers, “Cowboy” burgers, and the “All-American”. Everyone else in the office pitched in by bringing drinks, sides, or desserts.

It was great to get out from behind our desks and share a meal with everyone in our new office’s big, beautiful kitchen, looking out onto our atrium.

We also got a chance to meet the newest member of The Companion Group’s family, Tamara’s baby boy! He was born on October 30th at 9 lbs., 4 oz. Congrats!

Also on display were Sharon K.’s awesome letterpress skills. She created beautiful, thick paper coasters with the Stuff-A-Burger logo using her home press. They looked so good that more than a few people suggested we should put them up for sale!

Our Stuff-A-Burger party was a total success — everyone left as stuffed as the burgers they had eaten! If you want to hold your own Stuff-A-Burger party, check out our list of retailers for where to find the press, and be on the lookout for our Stuff-A-Burger book, coming out in early 2013.
