The Bacon Bowl

Breakfast Bowl with Eggs, Potatoes, Onion, Avocado, Salsa & Pepperjack Cheese

People are crazy about bacon these days. Bacon is found in everything, from salads to potato chip flavorings and even chocolate. When a type of food takes off like bacon did, you end up seeing many creative (and sometimes over-the-top) ways of cooking or eating it. I’ve seen bacon wrapped steaks, scallops, tater tots, and even bacon-wrapped hot dogs. Last but not least, we’ve also got the bacon bowl.

That’s right, it’s a bowl made entirely from bacon, and with our new ceramic bacon bowl rack you can make one at home on your backyard grill. It’s the perfect idea for the bacon fanatic in your life, because let’s face it – we all have at least one. Let’s take a look at how this bowl works, and what kind of trouble we can get into with it.

How it Works

Our Flame Friendly® Bacon Bowl Rack was designed with two sides. On one side, bacon is wrapped around raised molds that allow the bacon to render evenly and form the bacon bowl. After the bowls are formed, the rack is then inverted and the bowls are placed into cups. From here you simply place your desired ingredients into each bacon bowl and continue cooking the bowls until everything is warmed and the bacon is crispy.

Wrapped bacon over rack

Step 1: Wrap the bacon.
Step 2: Grill the bacon over indirect heat until almost fully cooked (about 40 minutes).
Step 3: Remove the bacon bowls, flip the rack, and place the bowls into the cups.
Step 4: Fill the bacon bowls with ingredients.
Step 5: Finish cooking (another 10-15 minutes) and serve.
