Turkey Infusion Roaster

If you’re an avid cook like me, chances are you’ve hosted your fair share of Thanksgivings. After the first few annual turkey days, the classic oven-roasted turkey can get a bit boring. There’s the hassle of making brine, getting under the skin with five pounds of butter, and generally making a complete mess of your traffic jammed kitchen. You’re tired of laboring all day, bumping into your relatives in an over-crowded kitchen that’s hotter than Death Valley. So what’s the solution? Simple: cook your turkey outside this year.

When I talk about cooking a turkey outside, the first thing that probably comes to mind is a deep-fried turkey. While deep-fried turkeys can be delicious, you’ll still need an expensive turkey frying setup, gallons and gallons of oil, and a clear space with no fire hazards to avoid burning down the house. We’re proud to announce the launch of a product that can take care of all these Thanksgiving woes. It’s called the Turkey Infusion Roaster and it’s here to take your Thanksgiving to the next level.

How Does the Turkey Infusion Roaster Work

Everyone already knows that beer-can chicken is some of the best tasting poultry around. Why is this relevant? Because we took the beer can technology and brought it to the Turkey Infusion Roaster. The turkey sits almost horizontally on an oval-shaped tube filled with your favorite ale (or any other liquid you choose). Simply fill the tube with half a beer (you know what to do with the other half!), mount the turkey on the roaster, and place on the preheated grill over indirect flame. Cooking a grilled turkey has never been so moist, flavorful, and delicious.

Why Use the Turkey Infusion Roaster

The number one problem for roasted turkey is that it’s very easy to dry it out while cooking. For years, the solution has been to brine the bird the night before. Each year, millions of families faithfully put in a lot of hard work brining their turkeys. I’ve seen brines of all sorts, from classic salt water and herb-infused to secret recipes with over-the-top ingredients like caramel apple schnapps, Jolly Ranchers, apple cider, and who knows what. With the Turkey Infusion Roaster you can forget about brining. All you need is one delicious ingredient that’s probably already on your shopping list: beer.

Another advantage to grilling your bird is the opportunity to infuse more flavors. When using the Infusion Roaster, I like to pair a brew with a good rub that complements the flavor of the beer. All-purpose grill rubs work wonderfully with a good pilsner, red ale, or IPA. Stout ales like Guinness or Murphy’s will work wonders with darker rubs containing coffee. Citrus-inspired brews with flavors of coriander and orange or lemon peel will shine bright with herb-based rubs.

Not only can you infuse your turkey with a good beer/rub combination, but grilling also gives you the option of smoking your bird. Using a smoker box or an offset smoker, your turkey will beat any oven roasted bird hands-down. Plus once your bird is on the grill, your kitchen oven will be free to use for cooking any side dishes you have planned.

Don’t take our word for it. Try it out yourself and let us know how stress-free your next holiday gathering is!
